A medium-late ripening seedless variety bred by Dorota Pospíšilová and Ondrej Korpás. Rhea has a late entry into vegetation, the softening of the berries is also late, and the grape harvest is postponed to the end of September. It is relatively resistant to spring and winter frosts, as well as to long-lasting summer drought. It has strong growth, requires larger bush shapes. Suitable rootstocks are Teleki 5C, SO4 and Amos. Only one bunch is formed on one summer growth, which is an extraordinary feature of the self-regulation of the harvest and at the same time the appearance of the grapes. It is not particularly sensitive to fungal diseases. Rhea is valued mainly for the beautiful appearance of the bunches and for being seedless.
Parent varieties: It was created by crossing the varieties Chausch Rozovy x Chibrid V-6 in 1969. Its original name Jupiter had to be changed by the breeder, because a variety with this name was already registered in the USA. Its breeding designation is CRCHIB 21/8.
