One of the best white hybrid varieties, also referred to as a “direct-producing hybrid” due to its low requirements for cultivation techniques. In Russia, it was used in the 1960s as a parental component in interspecific crossings. Its descendants remain successful table and universal varieties to this day, enriching the varietal spectrum in Russia during the 1970s.

The variety was once cultivated throughout France, in the northern wine-growing regions of the USA, and in Canada. Today, it is likely in decline, as it has been surpassed by newer universal varieties of this type.
